Event Outline

Building on the successful event held the previous two years we once again helped the University of Nottingham with the delivery of LifeCycle3 in September 2013.

2The event is in support of an annual, two week fundraising cycle challenge which is taken on by a team from the University, headed by Vice Chancellor Professor David Greenaway. These have included John O'Groats to Lands End and Dover to Cape Wrath. We organise a couple of supporting rides to accompany these rides and celebrate their endeavours as they approach Nottingham.

1One ride, known as the Leg ride, accompanies the challenge team on the whole of that day's ride, which on this occasion was from Neville Holt in Leicestershire to the University, a distance of approximately 55miles. The other ride is a smaller family ride, known as the Community ride, which was held over a 10mile traffic free loop in the city.

We handle all aspects of the routes from route assessments, risk assessments, provision of signage and support teams, provision of ride leaders, arrange the venues, liaison with the authorities, provision of all the event managers and undertake all the health & safety assessments and arrangements. At the finish we also have a larger post-ride celebration event including BBQ and some entertainment.

The Leg Ride attracted 150 riders in 2013 and approximately 400 on the Community Ride. Once again the events passed off very well and we are looking forward to LifeCycle4.
