Over 14,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities got
out on their bikes on Sunday 11th September and joined
Graeme Obree, Aggie McKenzie and Lorraine Kelly for the
freshnlo Pedal for Scotland and Sky Ride Glasgow
mass-participation cycling events.
7250 took part in the freshnlo Pedal for Scotland 47mile
Challenge Ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh and 900 in the
100 mile Sportive timed ride through the Southern
Uplands, taking a longer route between Glasgow and
Edinburgh for a serious challenge with both rides
finishing at Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium.
250 cyclists joined the brand new Edinburgh Family
Ride which takes in the last 9 miles of the Challenge
Ride from Kirkliston to Murrayfield on a traffic-free
route. Over 6000 cyclists also took part in Sky Ride
Glasgow, which saw cyclists enjoy traffic-free streets
along the length of the River Clyde.
Registration for freshnlo Pedal for Scotland 2012 is now
