The Lake District National Park Authority are currently working on the Go Lakes travel programme which will be delivered in partnership with Cumbria County Council and Cumbria Tourism. One of the aims of this programme is to get more people involved in walking, cycling and sustainable travel.

 

Staveley in Cumbria will play host to the festival which takes place on the Recreation Ground behind the Staveley Village Pavilion from 10am until 4pm.

 

 

Free For All!!

 

Guided walks and rides will be taking place throughout the day for visitors to enjoy the stunning surroundings of the area and try out the different bikes available.

 

Before and after the guided rides and walks you’ll have plenty free activities to enjoy.  These including a Cycle Show with a cycle-powered smoothie maker, cycle try-outs and Big Top Circus Tent with sensational circus skills and spectacular stunt displays.  There will also be a Dr Bike workshop, open-top information bus and many information stalls on cycling and walking to keep you entertained all day!!

 

 

So if you would like to try out a range of different bikes, get involved in cycling and walking groups and enjoy some great entertainment all whilst within the beautiful Lake District, then Go Lakes!
