We
were engaged by Cleveleys Sea Front Festival to
organise this exciting new event on their behalf, which
turned out to be a stunning show of community for
residents and visitors alike.
We had hoped for sunny, clear blue skies, instead we had
wind throughout the day and rain in the early afternoon.
This didn't dampen the enthusiasm of Cleveleys, and
at least the rain held off for the parade and the wind
was perfect for the fantastic windsocks the children
made!

The
sea front was awash with a kaleidoscope of colour and
musical harmonies, as the parade of schools, groups and
residents made their way along the promenade.

We
brought a bit
of Rio to Cleveleys with the Sea Festival parade
dancers, as well as sea-themed marching bands,
street entertainers, community groups in
imaginative costumes and
dramatic 16’ tall Street Walker puppets.
The parade followed the Promenade from the Blackpool
boundary to Jubilee Gardens. At Jubilee Gardens there
was a Radio Wave stage, which saw live
performances and on-air broadcasts, Pony Rides,
skateboard competition, Circus Skills, Cycle-smoothie,
re-enactment displays, classic car display and
traditional stalls and activities alongside a Fun fair.
