This was an exciting new interactive fun
day of cycling activities, displays and workshops at the
Stanley Park Arena in Blackpool, which definetley drew
in the crowds.
The most eye-catching perhaps was the amazing stunt displays by one of the country’s
top display teams.
Not just for watching though as
they also ran workshops teaching their skills to
anyone who came along with a bike (and helmet).
For young and old alike we had two
cycle try-out arenas. One featured a wide
range of bikes from BikeRight! from folders and trikes
through to a tandem and Tacx fun bikes. This gave the opportunity to not only try out to find a bike
that’s right for you but also to get expert advice in
all issues of choosing, looking and after and riding a
bike.
Alongside there was the Wheels for
All with their range of bikes suitable for people with
disabilities.
Local cycle instructors were also
leading some guided rides from the show, on attractive
safe routes in the area.
We also had our unique
roadshow including our cycle smoothie-maker and
computrainer along with stacks of cycling literature and
guides.
Also for all ages was the
Circus Wigwam with circus skills workshops.
All the activities were free.
