Tour de Yorkshire

The PE team is thrilled to have played an integral part of the famous Tour de Yorkshire for multiple years, alongside multiple clients and local authorities. A key example is our continuous partnership with Harrogate Borough Council, were we act as a sounding board and critical friend for their own- and third-party events.

As part of this- in 2017, we were appointed to develop an Event Management Plan incorporating an appropriate Crowd Management Plan to ensure the safe delivery of the stage 2 finish of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire and also developed and created a 3 day festival that ran alongside the event which included large stage, live entertainment, big screen and concessions.

The team provided support and guidance to Harrogate Borough Councils Events Manager, providing support and advice where necessary in relation to the councils agreed roles and responsibilities under the terms of their Hosting Agreement.
Pennine Events liaised with ASO prior to the event and also monitored ASO during the build and de-rig periods taking specific care over safety management. As part of this contract we prepared all the key documents including Event Safety Management Plan, CONOPS (C3) plan, Risk Assessment and Production Plan, dot planning, steward plans and managed the delivery of the festival sub-site. We also provided the key management staff to deliver the event on the ground on their behalf.
