Pennine Events help GB Olympic Volleyball Squad
with their 2012 Ambitions
Pennine Events have recently helped the squad
successfully pull off their cycling Olympic Odyssey of
cycling from Sheffield to London to raise money and
awareness to help them fulfil their Olympic dreams.

We drafted the route, carried out the recce and
risk assessment, prepared all the route support and ride
mgt materials and provided ride leader to guide the
squad of 18 ladies through to a large public welcome in
Trafalgar Square before a final finish at the Olympic
Volleyball venue of Earls Court.

It was all put together in a short timescale but no
tall order (pardon the pun....) and great fun to be
working with them. Along with putting on award-winning
mass participation and national level competitions we
also deliver a number of these highly prestigious rides
each year.

epic four-day, 300 mile journey by bicycle from
Sheffield to London, there was a distinct pause in the
ecstatic proceedings. The head team coach had
just reminded them what it was all about.

cancer-beating fundraiser, on his ride from Istanbul to
Leeds (we are sorting out the final day's route which he
