We are looking for 100 adventurous cyclists to tour from Edinburgh to London this August 18th-23rd for Right To Play. Leaving from under the castle in one capital and arriving outside of Buckingham Palace in another, this 6 day trip will take you over hills, along coasts and through national parks. Whether you are experienced or a beginner, this promises to a fantastic challenge for a very worthy cause.

NEW EVENT – Pennine Events to Organise New Major City Centre Running Festival
Pennine Events have been appointed by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to organise a new major running event in the city.
It was launched on 4th June when elite athlete Jo Wilkinson, Bradford Bulls star Sam Burgess and a group of keen runners from Greengates School joined Council leader, Kris Hopkins on their blocks in Centenary Square.

Lancashire company to organise sportive at ultimate cycling weekend

Pennine Goes to Chester Event

Pennine Events will attend the Council’s launch event on Saturday 25th April in the centre of Chester where it will provide visitors with a chance to create a smoothie drink by pedalling a static bike. Visitors can also try a cycle simulator, called a Computrainer, where they can pedal along routes displayed on a computer screen to test their fitness and stamina and to learn cycling tips. read more
Pennine Events chosen again for Mersey charity walk event

Pennine Events Limited, has been chosen to organise the special ‘Under & Over the Mersey’ event, which will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Queensway Tunnel.
In 2008, Pennine Events organised a similar event for Mersey Tunnels as part of the Liverpool European Capital of Culture programme. That event which involved more than 12,000 people walking under the River Mersey via the Queensway Tunnel for charity - won the North West Best Event category in The Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PRide Awards 2008. read more

People across Lancashire will be able to take advantage of free information about all aspects of cycling in a special roadshow touring the county this summer. The Lancashire County Council & Travelwise Cycling Roadshow is touring the county from April to September to provide an extensive range of free literature, route guides, giveaways, maps and travel leaflets for the public. People can even bring along their bikes for a free safety check.

More than 500 women have already signed up to take part in Pedal it Pink which offers women the opportunity to cycle a variety of routes and raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign. At this rate over 900 will be expected. read more
FREE entry to Liverpool - Chester - Liverpool Bike Ride for Over 60s
People aged 60 and over and living in Liverpool can get free entry this summer to The Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride – one of the largest mass participation bike rides in the country.
Liverpool Primary Care Trust is funding the cost of entry for all riders 60 and over in the event which takes place on Sunday, 5th July 2009. read more

day of events with the Preston Run in the morning and the Cycle Race

Yesterday's Pendle Pedal was a great success and enjoyed by all. With
just under 500 participants taking part in the event and the return
of the cycle show , riders commentated on how well organised the day
was and they enjoyed what they thought was "the best sportive in
the country".

Under and Over the Mersey
17/06/08
Sundays Under and Over the Mersey event was a great success with around
15000 people taking part. The walk through the Queensway tunnel in liverpool
started with a vintage vehicle parade before the first walkers entered
the tunnel at 11:00am led by Phil Redmond (Ambassador for Liverpool
Capital of Culture) and Councellor Mark Dowd.
