City holding autumn half-marathon

A new half marathon will be held in the autumn as a follow-up to last year's successful Bradford City Run. Bradford Council is staging the half marathon on October 17 combined with a five-kilometre fun run, and two children's races.

The Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride - one of the largest mass participation bike rides in the country - has been officially launched.

This is the largest cycle ride in Merseyside and the only cycle event in the country that includes over 5miles underground!

Crowd Management

 

Pennine Events have devised and implemented Crowd Management Plans and the related Risk Assessments for a range of events.

The largest and most high profile was for the Tour de France Stage 1 through Kent in July 2007. The company was brought in to devise and implement the crowd management operation for stage 1 of the world’s biggest annual sporting event. This successfully saw 2 million people watch the event live in safety with no incidents.

We were subsequently awarded a Commendation by the Metropolitan Police for our work.

Bradford City Run 2009

The Police Citation reads: ‘in recognition of outstanding contribution and support’ during the planning and implementation of the Tour de France when it visited London and Kent in July 2007.
